Hi there internet fans, it’s Ryan Perry with Simple Biz Support. Today I’m on YouTube and I want to talk about how to add an admin. Adding an admin is a great way to allow somebody else access to your YouTube account, to update videos, to make changes. Basically they have full access so you want to be careful who you give administrative rights to. The nice thing about it is your do not have to give up your own personal password specially now since it’s all tied in to your personal account. And second of all, if it’s employee or friend of a friend type of a situation and you need to remove them, it’s real easy to remove that person from your account so you don’t have to worry about changing passwords.

What you’re going to do is log into YouTube under the account that you want to add an administrator to. In the upper right-hand corner is the picture and pull down and what we’re going to do is under YouTube, we want to click on YouTube Settings. That will bring us up to this page and kind of in the center here you see what says Managers, we’re going to add or remove managers, so you could either add or remove… All your managers are going toshow up on this page here, in this case we want to add a manager so we’re going to click “Add Manager” and then you just simply need to type in the email of the person that you want to invite.

You can add more than just one person if you’d like. Go ahead and click invite. As you can see the manager has been added but they are grayed out. What’s happening right now is an email has been sent to this individual and they need to accept that they want to become a manager. At that point they’ll have full access and they’ll be able to log in to YouTube using their own username and password that they normally would log in to YouTube with. However, they would have multiple accounts to choose from as far as which one they’re wanting to access in admin.

That’s how you add a manager to YouTube. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below.
