Hey there, Internet fans. It’s Ryan Perry with Simple Biz Support. And today, I was doing some reading and SEOmoz is one of my favorite places to read and keep up on content. And I caught this 25 Steps SEO Master Blueprint. You never know when you might find something in there unique. And today, I did! I was just kinda scrolling through to see what they have. Scrolling through, scrolling through. They’ve got some great information as far as content, how to get titles. Titles are super important. However, the new one for me was this, right here. This is kind of a cool website. It’s called nTopic and basically, what it does is, it will go through your website for a specific keyword.

So, here we are at the nTopic website and it’s kinda nice because you can actually… They have a plugin. I haven’t tried the plugin yet, but what I like about it is, once you just come here to ntopic.org, come down to your, “Is Your Content nTopic?” So, I’m gonna punch in my web address which is my Simple Biz Support, let’s do the blog, dot com and my primary focus is search engine optimization or SEO. So, I’m going to do “SEO” and I’m gonna have scores. So basically, what it’s done is, it’s gone out, it’s evaluated my entire website based on the terminology of SEO and it has said that my content score is 99%.

Now, why is that important? Well, if I want to be found for SEO then, I need to make sure, I have relevant content on my website as it relates to SEO. So, as an example, let’s type in boots and see what happens. I should have a very low content score simply because my website is not about boots or shoes or anything like that and there we go. My content is “statistically irrelevant”. Your target should be at least 99%. So, what you wanna do is you want to… Or how you can use this as a tool I should say, is come to the ntopic.org, it’s not dot com, a dot org, punch in your web address and what is your primary search term that somebody would use to find your business. If you’re a dentist, type in dentist. If you’re an eye doctor, type in eye doctor or optometrist. If you’re auto battery repair, type an auto battery repair.

Also, if you’re trying the specifically target a specific city, I’d also try and play around with, as an example, let’s do SEO, Santa Rosa, since that’s where I’m located and how relevant are you not only for that primary keyword but if your business is geo-targeted into a specific city or town, I would punch that in also and see what it is. Okay. I just did this one and I’m at 99%. So, the idea is Google will understand that my website is about SEO and I’m specifically targeting Santa Rosa.

So again, check it out. It’s ntopic.org. Punch in your website. Punch in your keyword. Click Go. See what happens. And if you do not come out very high, you need to re-evaluate your website and see what type of tweaks you can make, so that, your website is really relevant to the type of clientele that you want to attract.

Hope you’re all having a great day. This is Ryan with Simple Biz Support.
