Jan 5th
What is blog flipping and website flipping , and how can it make you money?
You may be surprised to learn that, yes, selling blogs and websites (web logs) may make you a reasonable, and even very lucrative income, provided you are aware of what is going on, that is. This is a money making method from online that is only just beginning to be recognized as such, although in the past many people have successfully sold their sites or blogs. There has been so much information about how best to build websites, whether to make money from Google Adsense ads, or from affiliate deals where traffic is sent to a product sales page, and if they buy something from there, then you get paid a commission.
Without a doubt, there are right ways and wrong ways to build a website, and plenty of variations in between. At the same time there are many different ways to go about selling web sites and blogs, and there are now several courses about it that show you how to do this in great detail. It is not just a case of advertising your blog on eBay, and then waiting for hundreds of bids to come in offering you fantastic sums of money for your site or blog.
No, selling a website or blog has become something of an art. In many cases, it is necessary to educate people interested in buying your site, as to why yours is a good website or blog, pointing out the various advantages of owning your site, whether it is because it it already gets a lot of traffic and can easily be monetized, or is already monetized.
Or perhaps the topic of your blog or site is currently in the news, or may be it is a website for an event coming up in a few months.
There are plenty of websites out there, for all sorts of different topics and niches, containing all sorts of information, and while there are some are very pretty and visually appealing, that is not a prerequisite to fill your bank account with dollars, or any other currency.
Some blogs or websites are put together to educate us all, others are advertising events that will take place, or reports of those that have already happened. Other sites are put together to promote other people’s informational products or physical products, or as review blogs or sites, comparing a group of products, with affiliate links on them all in the expectation of selling something.
Yes, there are many different types of blogs and websites, and many features to look at when you are selling, or buying a website or blog. It is not just enough to have accurate information on a website or blog. There has to be people visiting the website, or at the minimun the promise of traffic to it, unless you intend to spend time writing articles to attract attention, or intend to pay for traffic from Google, MSN or Yahoo search engines. All these are valid methods of getting traffic to a site and therefore getting income from a site. However, what will work well for one site, won’t automatically work well for another.
You undoubtedly can make some money from flipping or selling websites and blogs, but you do have to have some knowledge about websites and blogs if you are to get a true reflection of their worth in any payment price you receive from a purchaser.
