What’s more, a digital marketing-insight firm,  eMarketer, notes that a larger chunk of marketing budgets will be going towards “online marketing” in general this year. The growth is expected to increase 23% as compared to 2011.

More importantly, “much of this new spend is expected to go to video (54%)…”

According to a video post on Inc.com, “Video Marketing: Turn Viewers into Customers,” business opting to use a video production should consider the three- points offered by Scott Gerber, founder of YEC (Young Entrepreneur Council):

“1. Include video images of play buttons in newsletters:” Readers are more likely to convert to a sale through watching your video than reading text.

“2. Encourage user-generated response to videos:” Engage your customer, offer ways for him to ask you questions or provide more information.

“3. Use product or service demos:”  Nothing like getting answers through a ‘how to video;’ or watching a quick video on why your product or service is better than the competition.
